Intergraf and EcoPrint are delighted to announce that Intergraf, the leading European commercial print federation has lent its support to EcoPrint 2012, by becoming a supporting association.
This news signals the widening of EcoPrints appeal to include the commercial print sector and to become the number 1 forum for sustainable print business.
Beatrice Klose, Secretary General, Intergraf explains, 'It is logical for Intergraf to become a supporting association for EcoPrint 2012, as we have, for many years, been providing advice, solutions and now practical tools for our members to successfully adopt sustainability within their companies. EcoPrint is both a unique and inspiring prospect for Intergraf and we are delighted to be part of it'.
As a leading pan-European professional print trade organisation, Intergraf has been working on sustainability for a long time and has achieved some notable successes. One example is the development of key steps in the formulation of a carbon calculator which helps print businesses to measure and gauge their carbon output.
Chesterman, Director, EcoPrint says, 'Since the launch of the show in October 2011 we have been pleasantly surprised by the level of interest from across the print spectrum in EcoPrint. To gain Intergraf's support is exciting given its respected place in the commercial print industry as this also indicates that the issue of sustainability is not confined only one part of the print market. Clearly, sustainability is a significant issue for the entire print industry and EcoPrint will be the forum for the forming of a new event community focusing in the biggest single issue facing the industry, that of sustainability.'
EcoPrint 2012 will feature seminars, debates, discussion and advice for any leading print business, agency, marketer or print buyer to successfully integrate a sustainable strategy and an exhibitions with genuine sustainable products and services for print production. EcoPrint will focus on applications and the business of sustainability, in a unique format unlike the traditional print trade show model.
